Dehumidifiers control environment and, in conjunction with air movers, are necessary to bring the moisture content of the materials and environment under control in a time frame that will prevent microbial growth from taking hold after a water loss. Some of our dehumidifiers have built-in humidistat controls to avoid excessively low humidity, which can damage finishes and personal effects.
Other equipment, which may be recommended, include an air mover, carpet cleaner, and/or a flood pump. Some chemical treatment could be recommended to clean or prevent microbial growth.
